Y hiang oon; jie.

My sweet jie.
I've known Hiang Oon for like erm... 16 years!?! Wahaha. Has it really been that long? Time sure flies.
I got to know Hiang Oon in Primary 1 because we used to take the same school bus. We didn't talk much then, but the two things I remember clearly are her nickname and the bus driver. Her nickname (which I will refrain from mentioning), because it wasn't a particularly nice one and the bus driver, because he was terrible.
I used to stay in Pasir Ris and at that time, MGS Primary was at Balestier, which meant that I was the first to get picked up and the last to reach home. Guess what happened... the bus driver would oversleep and due to the tight schedule, he would skip my stop and go straight to the second stop. Thank goodness we had a car, so my mum could still send me to another friend's place where I would board the bus with her.
When asked for an explanation, the bus driver simply said that his alarm clock wasn't working. This happened on more than one occasion, until my mum became quite angry about it. So she bought him an alarm clock. Too bad for him. Haha.
Hiang Oon and I only became much closer friends later on in secondary school and I'm so very glad that we did! She's my jie because her birthday is on the 1st of August (before mine) and because I simply adore her. We were in different classes in Sec. 3 & 4, but every morning before flag-raising, I would drop by her classroom and watch as she and my other jie, Jacqui, scrambled to copy homework before the bell rang. Haha. Those were the days.
Now we're all grown up and have become young ladies. Maybe I'll post a photo taken of us when we were in sec. school for you to see the difference. I'll think about it. Haha.
My dearest jie, just to let you know that I treasure all the memories and especially the recipe for chocolate chip cookies! Hehe. May you be happy always!

We were on our way to Orchard to do some shopping during lunch break because Zara was having a sale. She noticed my Precious Moments ez-link card and wanted to take a photo with it.

The Sweetest Thing.

As promised. This was taken when we were in Sec. 4.
